Owner Elijah Safford is a Taos county native who executed Aceq’s food from 2019 until acquiring the business as chef owner in 2021.
Safford is the youngest chef owner ever inducted into flavor town on diner, drive ins, and dives by guy fieri.
Head chef Gabriel Farkash is local to taos new mexico and has been the driving force behind our menu and culinary experience. He brings bright, new and unique flavors to our ever changing menu. his execution is bar none and has been such a welcome addition to our head chef position
chef gabe has been cooking for as long as he can remember and ensures our menu is executed to the best of its ability every time.
Our Management Team here is aceq is dedicated to giving everyone that walks through our doors a place that they can feel at ease and home.
FOH Manager Brad Maurer has been running all variety of restaurants since 2000. Ensuring that all of our front of house staff is well versed in the menu and professionalism. he started out his career in kansas city and has since transitioned full time to taos and into aceq since 2022
Bar manager Shannon Madden has been with aceq since 2025 and with her young bright energy has brought life to our cocktail program and holding staff accountable for the execution of chef gabriel’s Menu and our standard of excellent for hospitality
